Rusty's Steering Knuckle Shim
Rusty’s knuckle shims are needed when "flipping" the tie rod, or changing the tie rod's original mounting position below the steering arm on the knuckle to the top. These shims insert into the original tapered hole to remove the taper. The upper end of the hole will need to be tapered; this can be done with a hand taper, or this can be performed at a machine shop.
