Rusty's Rubicon/Unlimited Steering Box Brace brace is a simple and inexpensive way to add a significant amount of strength to the factory steering box mount. Taller lifts and larger, more aggressive tires place a tremendous amount of stress on the steering box mount and bolts. Take a look: there are only three bolts holding the box on the frame!
Rusty's steering box brace can prevent any steering failures that would ruin a great trail ride. The brace sandwiches the steering box with a bracket that runs to the passenger side frame rail, tying the frame rails together. Installation is simple, with no drilling is required. The brace comes in a black powder coated & gold zinc-plated finish and includes all the necessary hardware. The Rubicon/Unlimited version works with the "square" steering boxes.
